Legendary Reggae and Dancehall label, VP Records, is looking for a Director of Records and Publishing Royalty.
The position is located in Jamaica, NY and available immediately.
The candidate should have strong record and publishing royalty knowledge. Knowledge of Record Maestro and Music Maestro is required. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THOSE SYSTEMS.
Required knowledge includes:
- Record royalty including artist and producer contracts;
- Mechanical royalty and interfacing with music publishers;
- Client management on both record and publishing side and field queries from clients relating to their statements;
- Digital royalty rates and accounting including download, mobile, streams and digital performance royalties (SoundExchange, PPL, etc).
- Music publishing contracts including writer, administration and sub-publishing contracts;
- Societies and
- Mechanical licensing to record labels;
- Third-party licensing and synchronization.
